Not All Architecture (NAA) is a collaborative architecture and interior design practice based along the surf coast of Victoria, Australia. Possessing both hands-on construction skills and design expertise in residential and commercial projects, the team produces considered spatial experiences that are guided by the different contexts of each project's materials and surrounding environments.
This contextual approach was an important consideration when designing the printed and digital applications of the identity. The earthy tones reflect the presence and influence of bush and beach on their work, with NAA working mostly within the Australian coastal terrains of Torquay and surrounds on Wadawurrung Country. The offset type treatment of the wordmark creates a moment of gentle pause, offering space for contemplation akin to the studio's deeply considered and iterative design process. For NAA, the research and development phases hold as much importance as the built outcome; the website's homepage conveys this through a flexible layout that nestles visceral landscape imagery, sketches, renders and technical drawings amongst the completed projects and select works in progress.
